FAQs:

Is it possible to use any paper for calligraphy?

Sadly, this is not so. In America, designers have chosen a battery of calligraphy checks, dye tests, paste application, water/dry comparisons, ink absorption, and many more testing for the paper we are shipping. This method, which lasted more than three months, checked over 200 lines of writing.

Is calligraphy messy?

Like any painting, the mess is usually confined to one’s fingertips in daily practice, even if you have a significant tin spillage. So be conscious about the choices you make and ensure that the furniture is safe. It would recommend that you keep a wet clay ready and cover all uncoated surfaces of wood.

Is it possible for a left-handed person to do the calligraphy?

When users practice modern calligraphy, the left-handed person is not disadvantageous. We use pointed nibs rather than flat nibs in contemporary calligraphy. You keep the straight penholder as the right students do. You can also purchase oblique pen holders from your left hand, but many calligraphers tend to use an oblique holder from your right hand.

Why the nib seems to be broken from the middle?

Two tines are divided into all pointed nibs when pulling on the nib. The nib works like that.

What should I do when inkwell molded?

Write more often. Mold happens when an inkwell remains without use for too long. If there are only light spots, the ink may be moved, and the mold is dissipated.

Why hand hurts while doing calligraphy?

You could be too serious to understand. Remember to try to relax your neck to your shoulders with all your muscles. If you find yourself nervous, force yourself to sit back, reach out, and relax your hand every few minutes before it gets more comfortable.
