The word piano is derived from the ancient Italian name for the instrument, “clavicembalo col piano e forte” literally “harpsichord with gentle and loud.”
This relates to the piano’s ability to create tones at varied volumes based on the velocity with which its keys are struck, unlike the harpsichord.
Francesca Lia Block once said, “Pianos, unlike people, sing when you give them your every growl. They know how to dive into the pit of your stomach and harmonize with your roars when you’ve split yourself open. And when they see you, guts shining, brain pulsing, heart right there exposed in a rhythm that beats need, pianos do not run. And so she plays.”
A keyboard musical instrument with wire strings that sound when struck by felt-covered hammers operated from a keyboard, often known as a pianoforte, French piano or pianoforte, or German Klavier. The normal modern piano has 88 keys and a range of seven full octaves plus a few more keys.
In the aftermath of World War II, Casio was formed in Japan in 1946. Tadao Kashio, the company’s founder, began by making mechanical components. By 1949, he had enlisted the help of his brothers, who were experts in electronics, and they had started manufacturing calculators.

Our Opinion:
I adore the piano and all of the different styles it can play, such as “grand piano” and “organ.” There’s a metrodome built in, as well as various sample tunes. I haven’t read the entire handbook yet, so I’m sure it does a lot more than I think, but it’s fantastic, and the keys feel exactly like a “real” piano to the touch! It’s important to remember that this is an electric piano, not a keyboard, thus it’s not very portable.
